Last night, I was making an awesome burger, when some oil jumped out the pan and burnt both my hands. I tried to ignore the burns at first, but then the stinging started to get a bit much. So I was introduced to Lucas’ Papaw Ointment by my flatmate and applied it straight onto the burns. Within minutes the stinging stopped. By the time I woke up this morning, I’ve pretty much forgotten about it, and have to really look on my hands where the burns were.

Yesterday morning I was grating carrot, and nicely introduced part of my finger to the grater. I started with tea tree oil onto the cut; turns out “Tea tree oil is antiseptic, anti-bacterial, anti-fungi and anti-viral.” (yahoo answers) This morning I kept knocking the cut, resulting in more stinging! So I added some of my flatmate’s Lucas’ Papaw Ointment, and the pain almost instantly dissolved.

I highly recommend it!

Yesterday I went with my friend Kerrie on a road trip to christen her new car.
Starting in Hardy’s Bay with a coffee each and a chocolate soufflé (to share), we aimed West out into the country. Driving past creeks, rivers and along gravel roads we ended up in the gorgeous little sleepy town of St Albans.

Nestled amongst the Autumn leaves we found a 1836 pub with the best “real ale” and awesome food; we shared a labna salad.

While at the inn, after years of searching, I also finally found my mum’s dream car: a red MG sports car.
